After a successful run in Kansas, the newly launched Tide Dry Cleaners will now call Ohio home. On Tuesday, Mason rolls out the welcome mat for what will surely become the standard for dry cleaners, as well as Tide’s flagship store and training facility.
Combining the stain fighting power we’ve come to rely on with GreenEarth cleaning technology, Tide Dry Cleaners promises to extend the life of your garments, all while making them smell wonderful! (Man, I love the smell of Tide…nothing better!)
One thing I can’t wait to try out is the Back to Black service they offer. My black cottons always fade to that yucky shade of sad gray. And Tide Restore works to get all your colors and whites back to their original vibrancy.
Tide Dry Cleaners is also giving back to the community, serving as a drop site for Dress for Success. Dress for Success does incredible work, helping women get back on their feet with the attire and professional skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
The ribbon cutting ceremony begins on Tuesday at 2pm and I, along with some other local bloggers will be on hand. I’m looking forward to a behind-the-scenes tour of the new facility, because I’ll be honest, I have no idea what “dry cleaning” actually is! Local officials will be on hand to celebrate and the store will have plenty of giveaways as well as tours.

The toughest stains for me have always been any type of tomato based sauce. My husband and my daughter are always missing their mouths!

Hmmmm, we have so many. Probably the most common is ketchup followed by chocolate milk. The toughest may be permanent marker and splash in a touch of thatdull dirt on white socks that never seems to come clean even with bleach. Oh, and we’ve had mishaps with nail polish – that’s a doozy to clean.

Toughest stains are pens/markers.

Okay, the all time WORST stains would be permanent marker and POMEGRANET juice!! That stuff DOES NOT come out!

The hardest thing for me to get out is cooking oils. Seems like no matter I do, there is always some residual spot left!

I’m going with Skyline Chili. That is some powerful stuff. Tasty, hard on the tummy, doesn’t come out of white shirts (which is probably why they provide free plastic bibs).

Any type of red juice on a white shirt. Same goes for fruit – cherry, strawberry, and surprisingly enough watermelon!

The mystery stain on my son’s WHITE uniform shirts frequently stump me. I cannot identify or remove them!

Ooh! This is right by my office.
Makeup. As a costumer, getting weird makeup– gold glitter body cream, for example– or fake blood– is the worst. Really.

Oh man…this would be WONDERFUL for when Kira shows up!
And my toughest stain? EASILY whatever gets on my cloth diapers, especially since we aren’t allowed to sun-dry them 😛

My daughter loves oranges, but the drips from the juices on her clothes never seem to come out.

Wow – where do I start? One of worst is fruit juice, any color; grease splatters; including mayo and salad dressing (I wear my lunch a lot). Actually anything with oil or color!

My worst stain is ink pens. I never see them until they are out of the dryer….

Not sure that it’s the toughest but definitely the most annoying are the constant poop stains from little one’s with explosive diapers during that first six months or so 🙂
