Keeping the romance alive out there folks? If so, tell me your secret.  Cause this is how Doug and I spent our evening tonight.  Sadly, it was the longest, uninterrupted “quality time” together in quite a while…

Ok, so we’re not heating up the love juices, but dang we team up for a mighty cute cupcake, eh?

And yes, P is eating icing directly out of the container.  Before dinner. On a school night. Don’t judge me people.

At four P is consumed by all things Disney, if she isn’t obsessing on the DVD of Toy Story 3 (available Disney DVD and Blu-ray on November 2, 2010 by the way), she’s asking how Goofy got to be such a big dog (oh and why our dog can’t wear a hat).  And don’t even get me started on the princesses.  Lord, the princesses.

So it was a no-brainer when word got out that Mickey would be back in town soon for Disney – Live! Depriving P of such a gala would be like denying her oxygen….or Oreos.

We’ll be there November 4th at 6:30 for the ONE AND ONLY show here in Cincinnati at US Bank Arena. Tickets on sale at, by calling 1.800.745.3000, or by going straight down to the US Bank Arena.  Tickets are as inexpensive as $17 and the memories are priceless!

See Goofy (with hat), Snow White, Donald and of course the cutest couple in all the land Mickey and Minnie for THE magic show of magic shows.  We can’t wait!

I had the honor of meeting Tim Gunn this summer when he was here in Cincinnati working with Procter and Gamble.  I’m a big fan and it was quite a thrill.  He is one of the most genuine and generous souls I’ve ever encountered and there is such a sense of happiness when you are in his presence.

But today my affection for him grew ten-fold when I stumbled upon a PSA he did for The Trevor Project.  Please take a moment to view it and if someone you know is facing a tough time – perhaps a teen battling to find themselves, a parent losing touch with their child, an aunt or an uncle worried…pass it on to them.  Let them know they are not alone and there are loving arms and ears ready to help.  The news lately has been sobering and horrific.  Too many children are being lost, there is no rhyme, no reason.  And we must work together to stop it.

Why get so riled by the events of the world, you ask? Because…

"Becoming a mother makes you the mother of all children. From now on each wounded, abandoned, frightened child is yours. You live in the suffering mothers of every race and creed and weep with them. You long to comfort all who are desolate." Charlotte Gray
